Gearhead Flicks will produce a video, reminiscent of a music video, comprised of a compilation of your runs during the Texas Mile weekend. The content and duration of this video depends entirely on the outcome of the event, your performance and many other factors, we will do our part to make sure it's the best it can be. We will try our best to capture every run you make but cannot guarantee every burnout, launch, mid-track and finish per run. Below are some commonly asked questions and our responses to each;
What if the event is completely cancelled?
All orders will be refunded only if the entire event is cancelled. For PayPal users: PayPal fees are not included in the refund amount. 2.9% + $0.30 PER TRANSACTION fees will apply and are taken by PayPal, not Gearhead Flicks. Full refunds may take up to 60 days to process..
What if I am unable to attend the event?
If for some reason you are unable to attend the event, you will receive a credit for the amount you have spent, to be used at the next Texas Mile event or toward a private Gearhead Flicks video.
What if my car breaks before the event is over?
We understand your vehicle is susceptible to breakage - because, racecar. In the event you complete only a handful of runs and are unable to see the entire weekend through, Gearhead Flicks reserves the right to either create a video based on the footage we have collected throughout the weekend or provide a credit toward the next event or private video shoot. This decision will be based upon a review of the compiled footage and the result of the runs you have completed but, again, the ultimate decision rests with Gearhead Flicks management.
How will you guys make my video awesome?
We at Gearhead Flicks use our best creative abilities to produce an entertaining video that documents your experience at the Texas Mile. As with any artistic endeavor, each video is unique and inherently exclusive. During the review phase of your first draft, you have the option to make reasonable requests for adjustments. Beyond your first round of adjustments, any additional filming sessions or special requested changes will be discussed and priced on a case by case basis.
What if I have my own footage that I'd like included in the video?
Almost everyone has their own GoPro or Contour style camera these days and we love the fact that our clients are grabbing additional footage in case we miss something. We will happily chop, edit and blend in your footage for a $100 fee. The process is simple: When you pay for your video, click on the appropriate drop down selection from the PayPal screen. Once we have closed registration, you will receive a link to a Dropbox folder where you will be able to upload your footage, no more than 5GB will be accepted.
When will my video be complete?
All videos will be edited in the order which we received payment. We will contact you prior to beginning the post production process to discuss vehicle details and soundtrack selection. Once music has been selected and details are received, the average turnaround time is 3-5 business days.
How do I get my video so I can show it off?
All videos will be uploaded to the Gearhead Flicks YouTube channel and Facebook timeline as they are completed. The live link from YouTube will be yours to share online as you see fit and if you would like to upload the video to an online hosting channel other than the Gearhead Flicks YouTube channel, an additional $100 fee will be applied.
- What if I want a DVD or Blu-ray of the finished product?
DVD or Blu-ray format can be mailed to you for an additional $35/$45 respectively, plus shipping costs
- Can I have my raw footage?
As you can imagine, the amount of footage we collect during the weekend is quite vast and sifting through it is a large undertaking. Your raw footage can be provided for an additional $350
